THE MAGIC OF MYLIO, EXPLAINED

Devices use Mylio to cooperate and make sure they have all the same photos.
It’s called syncing and it let’s you have 100,000 photos, or more, on every Mylio device.  That’s because syncing distributes copies of your photos scaled individually to each device, based on storage availability.
With Mylio, your photos are actually on your devices ready to view, anytime, any place, anywhere.
Even if your home is nowhere near the internet, or your phone is in a galaxy far, far away.

HOW MYLIO LETS YOU SEE ALL YOUR PHOTOS ON ALL YOUR DEVICES

With Mylio you can view all your photos on all your devices. That means photos on your computer can be viewed using your phone or tablet, even if you have over 100,000 photos. And after you take new pictures with your phone, Mylio copies them to your computer and tablet so you can view them there, too*.

So how does Mylio let you see all your photos on all your devices, without using up all your storage?

When you install Mylio on a device, it looks at how much storage on that device is used by photos.

It then measures how much storage is available on your other Mylio devices.

And it determines a plan so you have copies of all your photos on each device.   On devices with limited storage, Mylio transfers smaller copies, for devices with lots of storage, Mylio transfers full-size copies.

Each time Mylio is open on your devices, it uses wifi to pass information and photos between devices.

* Mylio does not transfer photos on-demand or use your wireless data plan.   Mylio transfers photos only when it is open on both devices when they are connected to the same Wifi network.
